Is he really interested or just having mediocre feelings about me?
I met a guy about a month and a half ago. He began pursuing me pretty hard and we have spent just about every day together since we met. But he always asks me to hang out, asks when I am coming to see him, do you wanna do dinner, let’s go to a movie, etc. I am definitely not pushing him to spend time with me. I still do things with friends and make sure I study for college classes and work enough. I feel like we have spent so much time together so quickly that we sped through that first few weeks of nervousness and butterflies. Now, he watches TV a lot when we are together instead of talking to me or playing around with me. We do joke and play and laugh, but he seems kind of bored with me. Maybe he is just comfortable, but is it that and that alone? I know he talks about me to his work friends (good things… like when I cook, or how I did when we played golf together, etc). He says things that makes me feel like he expects us to be together months down the road… like planning for his birthday which is several months away and planning for trips this summer.
He makes a point to spend a lot of time with me, but I worry that it’s only because he doesn’t know a lot of people where we live and that he just likes the company. He is also not very complimentary, which may just be his personality… but it’s hard for me because my family is very affectionate and verbal, so when men don’t SAY IT, I feel like they don’t think it… maybe I’m right??
Another thing to consider is the company he works for is on shutdown right now, so I realize he is super tired and working long days every day of the week.
I just don’t know how to interpret all of this because there are some mixed signals, I think. I may be thinking way too much about all of this, because I have definitely been burned in the past and don’t want to get burned again and waste my time.
Any thoughts? Thanks for your help., more
